Attention Notice 108-8 Area: Suffolk County has distributed Access Agreement documents to each homeowner in the 108-8 Area including additional information for signing. Access Agreements must be signed and notarized by the homeowner by May 31st, 2022, before construction may begin.

Signature of Access Agreements: The County is in the process of transmitting access agreements to each individual homeowner with additional information for signing. All access agreement packages for the 108-8 area have now been sent out. To make the signing process easier, the county is providing signing sessions for homeowners at the Wyandanch Senior Center located at 28 Wyandanch Ave in Wyandanch. See the Community page for more information. Access Agreements for the 108-11 Area will be mailed in June.

Low Pressure force mains in 110-2, 108-8 and 108-11 Areas: Construction began in December of 2021 and has an estimated duration of 15 months. This work includes the installation of the force main under the roadway and installation of the lateral connection and isolation valve at each property.

Private Property Sewer 110-2: the 110-2 project area is bound by Bayshore Rd to the east, Weeks Rd to the south and Carlls Path to the west (see area map). Construction began in December of 2021 and has an estimated duration of 16 months. This contract includes the installation of an on-site sewer system at each property. This system includes the grinder pump unit and basin (GPU), gravity connection to the existing home sewer line, connection from the GPU to the isolation valve, closure of the existing septic system and property restoration. Approximately 500 homes will be connected under this project.

108 Interceptor Extension: construction began in December of 2021 and has an estimated duration of nine months. This project includes the extension of a 48-inch sewer interceptor under the Southern State Parkway from Lewis Avenue (intersection of Lewis Avenue and Raider Street) and Lakeway Drive (the intersection of Lakeway Drive and Governor Avenue). This extension will be used to receive/discharge wastewater flow from the 108-8 and 108-11 project areas.

Private Property Sewer Area 108-8 Area: construction is scheduled to begin July 2022 and has an estimated duration of 27 months. This contract includes the installation of an on-site sewer system at each property. This system includes the grinder pump unit and basin (GPU), gravity connection to the existing home sewer line, connection from the GPU to the isolation valve, closure of the existing septic system and property restoration. Approximately 885 homes will be connected under this project.

Private Property Sewer 108-11 Area: construction is scheduled to begin September 2022 and has an estimated duration of 22 months. This contract includes the installation of an on-site sewer system at each property. This system includes the grinder pump unit and basin (GPU), gravity connection to the existing home sewer line, connection from the GPU to the isolation valve, closure of the existing septic system and property restoration. Approximately 675 homes will be connected under this project.

Private Property Sewer Non-LMI Area:construction is scheduled to begin October 2022 and has an estimated duration of 10 months. This contract includes the installation of an on-site sewer system at each property. This system includes the grinder pump unit and basin (GPU), gravity connection to the existing home sewer line, connection from the GPU to the isolation valve, closure of the existing septic system and property restoration. Approximately 150 homes will be connected under this project.
